Who we see

You do not have to be a professional to take injury seriously

The athlete who cannot train

You have built your routine around the gym, your sport, your competition. Injury has taken that from you temporarily and you want it back, properly, with a plan, not just rest and hope.

The person carrying something old

The knee that has been sore for six months. The shoulder that cracks. The back that locks up every few weeks. You have learned to work around it, but you want it sorted.

The active person just trying to keep going

You do not compete. You just want to keep doing the things you enjoy without pain stopping you. That is a completely valid reason to be here.

Common presentations

Sports injuries we treat regularly

Gym & lifting

Lifting injuries

Back pain from deadlifts. Shoulder problems from pressing. Hip discomfort from squatting. Wrist and elbow pain from grip work. Lifting injuries have specific mechanisms and they respond well to an osteopath who understands how strength training actually works.

Striking & grappling

Martial arts injuries

Reece has a background in Thai boxing. He understands the physical demands of combat sports, the repetitive nature of striking and drilling, and the cumulative load that grappling places on the neck, shoulders, and lower back.

Tendons & overuse

Tendinopathy & overuse injuries

Tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, patellar tendinopathy, Achilles problems. Overuse injuries build slowly and are often ignored until they become limiting. Early treatment is far more effective than waiting.

Acute injury

Sprains, strains & acute soft tissue

Muscle tears, ligament sprains, ankle injuries, impact trauma. Reece assesses the injury properly, determines what is involved, and builds a graded return-to-activity plan so you are not just resting and guessing.

Racket & court sports

Padel, tennis & racket sport injuries

Lateral epicondylitis from racket grip, shoulder impingement from serving, lower back rotation injuries. Sport-specific mechanics assessed and addressed with a return-to-court focus.

Post-surgical

Post-operative rehabilitation

If you have had surgery and been left without adequate physiotherapy provision, osteopathy can bridge that gap. Reece works with post-operative patients to restore function, reduce scar tissue restriction, and rebuild movement.

Treatment that works around your training, not against it

One of the most common things patients say is that a previous practitioner told them to stop training. Reece's view is that unless complete rest is genuinely necessary, the aim is to keep you moving at whatever level is safe, and build load back up progressively from there.

He understands programming, load management, and the psychological impact of being told you cannot do the thing you love. Treatment is built with that in mind.
